Hiiiiiii! My name is Wally! I am about 8 years old and am 8 pounds of fluffmuffin.

I am the cutest little pup! I walk the town with only one eye and my tongue hanging out my mouth and I look good doing so. I even stare at myself in the mirror sometimes to admire my reflection. Clearly, I am one handsome gentleman. 

I am a sweet and simple guy and teeny tiny! I can easily be carried around town comfortably and can accompany you to brunch or happy hour with friends. I am content to be by your side or in your lap and also enjoy the company of other pups. I follow them all around the house and yard – it’s really fun to have play mates. I would love another dog in my home, but could also be an only dog! 

I can sleep in a kennel at night, on the floor, or in your bed - I am like a fuzzy little rock, because I don’t move at all. In my short time in rescue, I have proven that I am almost potty trained – I’ve only had a couple of accidents! I am well on my way to being fully potty trained. Are you impressed yet?!

Even though I don’t have any teeth, I can eat hard food just fine. I enjoy it softened and sometimes that makes it easy for me to eat. As long as I get fed, I don't care what form it comes to me! I LOVE meal time! Sometimes I will bark once or twice in excitement and will slide around the ground with the other dogs. Meal time is a big deal!

Right now, I am in training to be a professional cuddler. I would say training is going pretty well and I am almost at the advanced level. Perhaps I will be certified by the time I meet you and will be ready to cuddle every day! If you think you can handle this amount of cuteness, I would love to meet you!

Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
