Hello there, friend. My name is Ralph! I am 8 years young and weigh in at 8 pounds.
I am a special little gentleman, so let me tell you about myself! I am sweet and mellow and am adjusting to life outside of a commercial breeding facility. Now that I am in a home, I am learning so much about love and the dog life.
Since I am quite shy still, I appreciate patience and gentle movements when picking me up. Once I am in your arms, I melt and love to be held and snuggle. I’ve never experienced these lovely things before. Life before a home was very scary and I am doing my best to be a brave little man.
I am working on my potty training and will go to the bathroom when we are outside. I haven’t quite mastered the whole thing yet. In the meantime, a belly band and pad will help me keep me from making little messes. I know I can do it!
I enjoy the company of other dogs, but because I bond to my human so well, I will do well on my own. I am learning about little stuffed animals and am interested in what they do - maybe I will put one in my mouth and carry it around sometime.
I like to follow my foster mom around and lie on the floor to take it easy. I prefer lying around than being in my crate, but can tolerate it when my foster mom leaves or at night when I sleep. I love running around in the yard and eventually hope to be brave enough to try walking on a leash sometime. For now, I am taking one step at a time.
If you have a quiet, safe, and loving home, I would love to be your little shadow and bring joy and happiness to your life. What do you think, should we meet?!
Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.
