This is Fairy!  And like Tinkerbell -- she will waive her magic wand and melt your heart!  She is so happy all the time!  She will meet anyone with a wagging tail and is friendly with other dogs.  She is about 8-9 years old and has a sparkling personality and is very curious about everything around her. She can be quite silly and funny too!  She the perfect size dog too -- weighing 7 pounds -- so easy to pick up and carry around.

She has immediately discovered toys -- and the ones that squeak are a surprise to her -- but the ones to tug are her favorite and she will entertain you as she bounces around!  And she is especially fond of chew bones and running through the leaves!

So far, Fairy is a quiet girl who will use her bark to let you know she wants your attention to show her something else that is fun!  She is comfortable in her kennel, sleeps through the night, is mostly potty-trained already -- but still needs time to learn your routine and what you expect of her.  Your consistency to keeping a schedule will give positive behavior.

Fairy is so looking forward to meeting the right family very soon!  Is that going to be you?

We want nothing more than for our beloved foster pups to find forever homes this Winter! In an effort to help them find the right, wonderful home, we have reduced many of our adoption fees from 12/1/14 until 2/1/15 . The adoption fee still includes all of the comprehensive Vet work as before, including:

Spay/neuter, heartworm test (negative), micro-chip, Vet examined, current on routine boosters, fecal check negative/de-wormed, as well as nearly all adult dogs have had at least one surgical dental.

If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com>

ADOPTION EVENTS:

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
