Meet Leia, or more affectionately known as Luna, a curious, clever, and delightfully independent kitten with a flair for observation and the occasional dramatic stare-down. At just under six months old and weighing in at four pounds, Leia may start off a bit shy, but once she’s warmed up, she’s fearless, playful, and full of personality.
Leia is a natural explorer who prefers to take in her surroundings before deciding how involved she wants to be—whether it’s new people, new toys, or new adventures. She’s incredibly intelligent and often watches others (including her humans and fellow foster cats) before jumping in herself. Once she does, though, she’s a spunky little leader who knows what she likes and isn’t afraid to show it.
While she’s not big on being picked up unexpectedly, Leia is very affectionate on her terms. She’ll let you know when it’s time for snuggles with head bumps, drive-by kisses, or the occasional request to be held. She loves interactive toys, her favorite ball cone, and squeezing in a good nap by the window. She’s a fan of Churu-style treats—anything she doesn’t have to chew—and absolutely adores interactive cat videos and puzzle toys.
Leia is well-mannered in the litter box (though she sometimes forgets to bury things—her brother usually helps with that) and is respectful of her space. She’s quiet, tidy, and a bit of a goofball, especially when she thinks no one is watching. She gets along well with cats, does fine with dogs, and hasn’t been tested with young kids yet.
Though her foster family has been calling her “Luna,” this sharp little cookie has learned to respond to that name—and may need a little time to adjust if renamed Leia full-time. She’d be happy as a solo pet but would also thrive with a companion who matches her independent yet playful energy.
If you're looking for a kitten who's equal parts thoughtful, silly, loving, and low-key mysterious, then Leia (Luna) is your girl. Just don’t be surprised if you catch her admiring herself in the mirror or quietly running her own solo recon mission with a favorite toy in tow.

ADOPTION EVENTS:
Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

FOSTER CARE:
All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience. NUTRITION:
Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
