Meet Nimbus, a 20-pound cloud of calm, cuddly charm wrapped in Cavalier fur. This low-key gentleman (estimated 4–8 years old) is happiest when he’s by your side, whether he’s quietly napping near your feet or following you from room to room like your most loyal shadow. His foster describes him as "the sweetest, most loyal dog"—a true Velcro pup who just wants love, gentle company, and someone to tell him he’s a good boy (often!).
Nimbus is great with kids and loves attention in public settings. He’s not into toys, but he enjoys a good bone and will happily snooze the day away. While he’s nearly potty trained and walks well on a leash, he thrives with a consistent schedule. He’s crate tolerant (whines a little, then settles), though he’s much more comfortable when he has the freedom of a pen.
Nimbus would do best as an only dog or with another calm pup who won't compete for attention. High-energy dogs aren't his jam—he prefers a relaxed, affectionate vibe. His protective side shows a bit when he’s guarding his favorite human (he might bark when someone enters the room), but he’s gentle and sweet once he gets a chance to say hello.
And let’s not forget his tail thumps like a drum when he sees you. It's his signature move.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, easygoing companion who will adore you unconditionally, Nimbus might just be your soulmate in spaniel form.
Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.
