You see this face?!  Not only is it adorable (I’m not egotistical, just smart – hee hee!) but it comes with a lot of wrinkles that I know you will want to smooch! But be aware, typical of my breed I do need my wrinkles regularly cleaned by my people since I don’t have thumbs.

My hobbies include eating snacks, breakfast and dinner. Just kidding. Kinda. As you’d imagine, I’m a lover of foods.  All, in fact.  But if you make me choose, I’ll pick cheese every time! Yummy in my tummy!

I am learning so much in my foster home about being a dog! I still am a little afraid of loud noises, commotion and new situations, but I’m doing well with so many of the things.  Take for example, going potty outside.  Mastered. Crate trained? Mastered.  Finding my favorite person?  Mastered.  Well, in all honesty, I just pick someone as “my person” and pretend to “guard” them from all things – including other people in the house.  I’ll follow that person to the ends of the Earth because I want to be part of the action and not be left out. 

Toys are a work-in-progress and with some more time I know I will figure out how to play with squeaky toys.  I do enjoy playing and chasing in the yard, so do need a fenced area in my forever home. And, while I am a smart boy, I have not figured out the leash and rules about that. 

I am good with most dogs, but prefer the male dog in my foster home. Sometimes I get in squabbles with the female dog – it is mostly her fault (hee hee) and I don’t typically start the action, but once I’m in it, I have trouble stopping.  I have another bad habit I need to admit – sometimes I am a barker. So no shared walls for me! BUT, to make up for that, I’m an expert snuggler and am food motivated. Hopefully you have a me-sized spot on the couch next to you so we can snuggle and share some snacks!

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
