Hello!  My name is Kimmie.  I’m a super sweet, curious and cuddly Goldendoodle.  I am about 1 year old and about 45 pounds. I love to play with toys, get lots of scratches and to cuddle with my people.  My zoomies are so adorable!  I sort of hop instead of zoom!  Foster mom says I’m kind of clumsy but that makes me even more super cute!

I’m great with people and I think I would really like to have one of those young people to bond with.  I am working on potty training and need a good schedule so that I don’t forget my manners and go somewhere I’m not supposed to.  I’m very food motivated so I’m sure I can be taught all kinds of things with a little food reward and lots of patience and love.

Sometimes I feel a little timid of people, especially men, but I’m not reactive or anything like that.  I’m way too sweet for that stuff!  I walk very nicely on a leash so I won’t need a fenced yard.  I won’t need another dog companion to live with but I get along great with all other dogs I have ever met.  I know what ‘sit’ and ‘kennel/crate’ mean.  I’m really smart like that.

When I’m in my crate I will bark if I know you are home.  I mean, why am I in a crate if my people are home?  I should be with them, right?  But if you leave I will bark for a little while and then quiet down.  Foster mom thought she might use a baby gate instead of a crate to keep me contained but those things are really fun to jump over!  I pretend I’m a gazelle and over I go.    Maybe my forever family would enroll me in agility classes so I can show off my skills!   I’m waiting for you forever family!  Please hurry and come get me.  I have so much love to give!

**Grooming - this dog's coat may have been neglected before arriving at Underdog and it can sometimes take months to get their coat healthy as poodles and poodle mixes require daily brushing.  Grooming appointments occur every 3 months and cost on average of $150 per appointment.  Adopters should be prepared for such expenses.  Underdog Rescue cannot guarantee the non-shedding or hypoallergenic qualities of this dog.

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
