Hi, my name is Kendall! I’m a gorgeous Golden Retriever about 6 years old and weigh 65 lbs.  My people think I am just about the most pawfect dog with the things he says about me. They tell everyone what a sweet and kind lady I am to every adult, child, other dogs, cats and poultry and even brag about how respectful I always am to kitty cats. 

I love to be loved! That is my favorite thing in the whole world. I will greet you at the door for some love and then I will quietly go to my space. I go potty on a leash and I am so close to being a potty training champion! I will tell you I need to go outside by walking up to you and then walking up to the door. I will be super easy to completely train once I am in a wonderful forever home.

I’m still a little leery of new sounds but getting used to things really quickly. I’m very good on the leash and I only pull if I get frightened by something. I don’t need a fenced yard as long as my forever family walks me regularly. I love all dog friendly dogs but I don’t need to have a companion dog in the home with me. I rarely bark – I’m such a good girl!! 

I love to sit with my humans and relax. I love to collect my toys from around the house and bring them close to me. I don’t play with the toys but I like collecting them. I like cool tile floors, shade and air conditioning because I get hot pretty easily. My favorite spot right now is in the bathroom where it is cool and I have my very own AC vent.

My people call me an “amazing family member.” All I need is a patient and loving forever family to help me gain confidence in this wonderful new world I am in. I’m cute as a button and I really want to be social.  Talk to me in a baby voice and I just melt and wiggle and wag my whole butt!! That’s how cute I am! I’m crate trained and I know what ‘go potty’ means! Come on now! What more could you want!? All I need now is my very own forever family. Could that be you?

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
