Hi everyone. My name is Oliver. I’m a 50 pound young adult Beabull…. yup, I’m a special designer dog. I have positive traits from both an English Bulldog and a Beagle. Just look at my sweet face!
I am looking for my forever home so let me tell you about myself. I am a sweet boy who loves to play with my canine siblings and my people. I only bark when there is a good reason like unknown loud noises or the vacuum cleaner (it’s not an unknown, but you just can’t trust a vacuum cleaner) or when I am initially crated. I showed a few signs of resource guarding that foster mom is helping me work through, but a strong pack leader would be great and we can keep learning and working on this!
I know what sit and go potty mean and I’m learning new things every day! Not only do I know what go potty means, I reliably go outside only! I am also good on a leash, so a fenced in yard is not a requirement as long as we get our exercise in. I’m not very treat motivated, but I love my toys, so time with them is a treat for me.
I haven’t met kids under 12 yet, so I’m not sure how I will react to them. I do love playing with my canine siblings, so one or two in my forever home would be fun - I'd be good as an only dog too though and to get all your attention! I did meet a few cats and was pretty overly interested in those, so I'd do best with no small critters.
Foster Mom says it’s a little difficult to get me to go in my crate, but I only bark a little bit and then I settle down. Lately, I’ve been sleeping in a dog bed right by her bed and I’m being very good.
I am curious, maybe a little nosey (tee-hee), and I enjoy keeping busy. I do have a talent for home dec and enjoy rearranging things daily to keep it interesting. Things like clothing, towels, dog beds and blankets from our crates. I don’t hurt them… it’s all in the interest of fun!
So, if a handsome, sweet Beabull sounds like your kind of guy, I’d love to meet you. Just fill out that application and then we can get together. Love, Oliver
Some of our dogs are obtained from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. Others have come from various situations where they are lacking confidence in humans. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

ADOPTION EVENTS:
Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.
ADOPTION PROCEDURE:
The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.
FOSTER CARE:
All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications and fill out a foster application.
NUTRITION:
Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
