Hello, my name is Yuryi. I am an incredibly handsome and curious young adult male Pomeranian who enjoys the simple things in life like making my people happy! For example, foster mom just loves to give me pets and cuddles, so I am always there to oblige… I know, it’s a tough job and a lot for foster mom to ask of me but hey, if it makes her happy, I will sacrifice!! Hee, hee!! By the way, it must be said that my kisses are second to none and I LOVE doling them out so if your bucket list includes getting the ’perfect kiss’ then you need look no further!!

I am a gentle and easygoing boy even around small children and though I have not yet met any cats I’m sure I’d be fine with them too. I have enjoyed the company of various sized other dogs, and I really like playing with dogs my size! Recently I started chewing and playing with toys - sometimes I don't know the difference between dog toys and kid toys - I just LOVE them all! Not only am I learning how to love toys, I love exploring the backyard.  Believe me, the freedom the fence allows is way too wonderful to give up so my new yard will need to be fenced too. I don’t like being left alone and am not afraid to voice my discontent so hopefully my new family will be home with me. Mom and I are working on leash and potty training but I’m confident that with more practice and a consistent schedule I will master both in no time! I am kennel trained but at night foster mom puts a blanket over it to help calm me down…apparently, she is ignoring my not-so-subtle hints that I would rather sleep with her! Hee, hee!

Anyway, I am a sweet boy who is simply looking for a furever home with a wonderful, patient family who will shower me with unconditional love and NOT give up on me. ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
