Hi everyone! My name is Pan. I’m an awesome, sweet Labradoodle. They say I’m a young adult, but at 1 year old I still have some of that puppy energy. I weigh about 60 pounds and I'm kinda tall. My foster Mom says I like to stick my nose up and try to sniff things on the counter. I haven’t done any counter surfing yet, but she thinks I have potential! But somehow, I’ve gotten the impression that it might not be a good idea.
They say I’m not completely potty trained, but I do bark to let them know when I want to go and they are learning rather quickly that I mean ... I have to go out! I am doing well with my potty training on a schedule and just need someone to help me master that fully. I also bark when I am hungry, but as far as barking goes, that’s about it. I figure that barking should be reserved for the important stuff!
That crate thing is okay with me as long as I don’t have to go potty and my tummy isn’t hungry. I even sleep all night in there. I’m a curious guy, so I like to poke around and investigate. But if I’m corrected, I respond really well. I don’t like loud noises or yelling very much, so gentle correction is all you need to use with me.
I haven’t met any meow monsters, so I don’t know if I like them or not. I’m really nice to the resident dog here but that one isn’t too interested in playing with me. But, I’ve played with the neighbor dog very nicely and would absolutely love a home where there is another dog to wrestle and play with. I’m still trying to figure out if I want to play in all that white stuff that’s all over the yard. I think I’ll have to get used to it, because it’s everywhere! I like to play with rope toys and I like bully sticks too. I would do best with older, respectful kids who understand what my toys are. You see, I haven't had things like toys and bones before coming to Underdog and I get confused when children or other dogs take them from me. They say this is "resource guarding" but really, I just need someone to help me learn to share. I don't think it will be a problem long term, but let's work on that together! And hey, let's do a basic obedience class, too, so I can keep learning new things!
I do well on a leash and I’m okay with using it when I want to go potty and get some exercise. So I’d be okay if you don’t have a fenced yard as long as you know I’m a guy who needs exercise every day!
I like to sleep right at your feet or cuddle next to you on the couch. So I hope you are getting the impression that I’m a super sweet, gentle and loving guy, cuz that’s exactly what my foster family says.
If you think we might be a match, please, please, please fill out that application so we can meet each other. I just know I’m going to love you.

Some of our dogs are obtained from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. Others have come from various situations where they are lacking confidence in humans. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.
This dog has received grooming with us at Underdog Rescue, but was likely neglected of grooming attention until he came into our care. It can sometimes take months to get their coat healthy as Doodle mixes require daily brushing. Grooming appointments occur every 3 months and cost on average of $150 per appointment. Adopters should be prepared for such expenses. Underdog Rescue cannot guarantee the non-shedding or hypoallergenic qualities of this dog.

ADOPTION EVENTS:
Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.
ADOPTION PROCEDURE:
The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.
FOSTER CARE:
All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications and fill out a foster application.
NUTRITION:
Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
