Hello. My name is Ladybug. I am a 5 year old, 14 pound, super cute shih tzu! Foster m om says I am shy at first, and might hide under the bed, but I am getting braver everyday and getting used to the routine in the house. When foster mom has kids over, I was a little worried at first, but now that I have gotten to know them, I look forward to their visits.  I love to attach myself to one person and make them my designated snuggle buddy! My favorite activity during the day is sleeping wherever is comfortable. A bed, a lap, or on your feet when you’re working are among my favorite places to snuggle up! Besides sleeping, I’d say my next favorite thing to do is chew on small balls and toys! Don’t try and take my toys away though, I’ll hoard them on my bed and wont share! (hee hee sorry!). 

Foster mom says I’m almost potty trained as I’m close when on a good schedule, but man... this cold weather has been a challenge! Sometimes I like to walk on a leash, but mom says I need to have a furever home with a fenced yard because I need some practice. At night I prefer to snuggle up in my crate if that’s where you want me to sleep! I always listen to mom when she says “Come”, “Leave it”, “outside”, and “Go potty”! I only bark when I am worried about something new, and I make sure to be respectful to every cat I encounter!

I hope my furever home has someone at home most of the time who is just as lovable, sweet, and nap loving as I am (hee hee not to gloat!). I would love to be adopted and attach myself to you if you love me and my nap loving personality. I am the best companion you can get and if your calm I can’t wait to match your energy and be the cutest little snuggle ball you’ve ever had. Warmly, Lady bug.

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
