Hello, my name is Yara. I am a very gorgeous and super sweet adult female Pomeranian who is not much on playing. In fact, I’m all about attention and though I can be a bit timid in new situations, I love my people and will even joyfully say hello and greet them when they come home!

Loud noises and children scare me but if the kids are respectful of me, I might be ok. That said, I am great with other dogs and always respectful of those meowy, whack-ya-in-the-face things you humans call ‘cats’ but I think I’ll do well as an only pet if my people are home with me most of the time! Truth is, foster mom calls me a “Velcro dog” because I love being with my people so much…I guess it’s safe to say that my perfect furever home will be with someone who wants an amazing companion and who either works from home or can bring me to work with them! I am sans many of my teeth but that doesn’t stop me from lovin’ life! I potty trained but I admit that I’ve had a few setbacks with this cold weather…I mean seriously who wants to go outside when everything freezes!?! Anyway, I am also crate and leash trained but I really hope my new yard is fenced because I don’t always do my business when I’m on the leash.

Anyway, foster mom says that I am her “favorite foster”, the best she’s “had in a long time!” and that’s quite the compliment if you ask me! Now all I need is to find a furever home with a patient family who will love me unconditionally and NOT give up on me. Are you ready to welcome an incredibly friendly companion into your life? ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
