Hello, my name is Rachel. I am a very beautiful and sweet female Airedale puppy who simply wants to be near my people and loved!! I am a quick and smart young lady who already knows what “sit,” “stay,” and “no” all mean and though I respond well, I can be a bit stubborn and have no hesitation voicing my opinions and/or discontent when it comes to being left alone or in that cave thing you humans call a “kennel/crate.” Bottom line is this…keep me near you without any barrier and I am happy as a clam and won’t make a peep…simply put, I want to be with YOU NOT on a break!!! I’m just sayin’!

I love bones, stuffed animals, and flip flops…thankfully in all this heat I have had no problem finding flip flops! Hee, hee!! I have not met any cats but I’m docile, so I think I’d be ok with them. I get along with other dogs and kids and have learned that jumping on or getting mouthy with the kids (or any people) is frowned upon. That said, sometimes I might forget so my new family will need to consistently remind me that people are not my personal jungle gym! I am working on leash and potty training, and I have no doubt that I will master both with some practice, a good schedule and consistency.

Foster mom is going to miss me SO much when I go to my furever home, but she knows that finding a patient furever family who is full of unconditional love is my biggest dream! Are you ready to welcome a beautiful diva into your home who will fill an emptiness in your life you never knew existed? I promise I’m worth it and I will love you with all my heart and soul!!! Love, Rachel

Some of our dogs are obtained from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. Others have come from various situations where they are lacking confidence in humans. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.          We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.

Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application.

We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward.

ADOPTION EVENTS:

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
