Hi – I am Fable, a fit and fabulous husky. I am a sweet girl that can be a little timid with people, but I am playful with my dog friends in my foster home, I sure do love them! We really like to jump, do zoomies and play all day!

One of my hobbies includes collecting things and putting them in my crate – I like to sneak up on toys and other fun things and relocate to my crate. Foster mom does catch me once in a while, but I am pretty sneaky LOL!! I really love playing outside and taking long walks, If you want to take me to a park, I’ll jump right into the car for an adventure.

If you leave me alone in my kennel, I will let you know I don’t like it – so maybe no shared walls for me! Eventually I settle down if my fur siblings are in the same room with me. I do like the older kids in my foster home – we laugh together at my antics! I do enjoy treat time and chewing on just about anything. My foster mom has done a great job finding appropriate things for me to chew on rather than pretty candles or shoes. Whoops!

Potty training is going great if you get me out on a schedule – I do howl and yowl to let you know I really want to go out, so please pay attention. In fact, I would love it if you give me all the attention since I am such a loving girl! I love when my foster mom talks to me like her sweetie and gently gives me hugs. I would thrive in a forever home with a fence and another dog, a fenced yard would be very helpful for me to burn some energy and get on a potty routine.

I am ready for my next adventure with my forever family. I want you to know that I am a faithful and getting braver everyday. AND love my chew toys (be sure to have a toy box ready for me!) My foster family has done a great job getting me ready for my forever family – I have always dreamed of finding a committed forever family who will love me unconditionally and help me continue to gain confidence and trust in people. And most importantly have lots of toys for me to hide in my crate. Love you much, Fable

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
