Hello, my name is Jada. I am a lovely, quiet and gentle adult female American Eskimo who is the sweetest girl you will ever meet!! I do not have any experience with kids, cats or other dogs and when I’m getting used to new things or approaching my people, I do this adorable thing that foster mom calls an “army crawl.” I also know what to do when mom says “no” even though she doesn’t have to say it much to me because I’m a really good girl!

Some of my favorite pastimes include going on leashed walks to sniff and get the news of the day, exploring, and snoozing throughout the day. I like to nap in safe places like my kennel/crate and corners or nooks that I find in the house, I even sleep through the night in my crate…I really like it in there and mom leaves the door open so I can go in there anytime I please!! I am still a bit skittish of loud noises and the everyday hustle and bustle of life in the house but when I go outside, I must admit that I’m quite a show-off. As soon as mom gets me all hooked up with my harness and double leashes we go outside to the grass and I immediately go potty. Sometimes when we go on our wonderful walks, I will literally walk circles around mom, so she is helping me learn that walking in a straight line makes for a much more productive walk. She is also helping me learn how to ascend/descend those stair things…I mean seriously, why can’t everything simply be on one level am I right!?! Anyway, in addition to all of the new stuff I’m learning, I have also discovered that I’m a bit of a cuddler! I enjoy snuggling in mom’s lap when she’s on the couch and lifts me up! *** CAUTION…I am an adorable and incredibly soft “big ball of fluff” (says mom) so cuddling me is very hard to resist!! *** You have been warned!!!

The only thing missing from my life is YOU! I dream of finding a furever home with a patient person who will shower me with unconditional love and will NOT give up on me and I’m willing to bet that is YOU!! I promise I will love you more than you can imagine!! Love, Jada.

Some of our dogs are obtained from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. Others have come from various situations where they are lacking confidence in humans. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

ADOPTION EVENTS:

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
