Hello, my name is Sally, and I am a very lovely young adult female Pit Bull mix who has so much unconditional love to share that I am almost bursting at the seams! I am probably the sweetest girl you could possibly meet, and I don’t have a mean bone in my pretty body. I love all people and am quite intuitive knowing exactly how to behave around everyone. For example, foster mom and dad have a nephew who is autistic and when he came over, I snuggled with him right away and patiently, not only allowed, but welcomed his pets and he talked to me for hours. He had so many interesting stories that he shared with me and I promised him that I would keep everything he said confidential so as much as you may want to know what we discussed…it is privileged information, and I will not betray his trust. I guess it’s safe to say that I will always be there for my people even if they just need an ear to hear them.

Anyway, foster calls me a “Velcro” dog and thankfully she LOVES Velcro dogs…Whew, I don’t know what I’d do if she didn’t! I admit that I can get a bit jealous of the resident dog with whom I live but since I always strive to please, it’s pretty easy for mom and dad to redirect me especially if food is involved. That said, I love having a fur companion who will play with me and teach me the ropes, maybe my new home will have a similar sized companion for me and a fenced yard where we can safely play. As for toys, well let’s just say that I much prefer snuggles and affection over toys…that’s all I have to say about that!! I am good with kids, but I have never met any cats and I enjoy talking to the strangers outside our home.

I do my personal business outside; I know the “come,” and “go potty” commands and I am leash and crate trained. However, I should probably tell you that I am fine in the kennel if my people are near me but if you leave me alone, I will freak out…yes, I said “FREAK OUT” I’m not afraid to admit it or to OWN it. I love my people and I am a part of the family, as a matter of fact, I am an integral part of the family so I should be near the family at all times, I’m just sayin’!

Not only am I truly a great dog but foster mom and dad say, “Sally honestly the easiest foster we have ever had.” What a great compliment!! Now, I just want to find my furever home with people who will love me unconditionally and will NOT give up on me. If you are looking for a delightful companion who knows how to behave around others, then I think you should get that computer out and submit your application right now! I promise I’m worth it and will complete your life. I look forward to seeing you soon. Love, Sally!!

ADOPTION EVENTS:

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
