Hello, my name is Randall, and I am a very captivating male Lab mix puppy who is probably the happiest and most friendly boy in town, and I always strive to please my peeps!! I love going to the dog park and frolicking around with all my 4-legged and/or 2-legged friends…heck, I’d even be friends with some 3-leggers if I met some…I’m not picky, I just love having friends…even those little people!! Anyway, when I’m not out on a leashed walk or playing with my friends or my crinkle/squeaky toys you can find me cuddled on the couch for hours with my human and feline family.

I love food, treats and water…I love water so much that I sometimes drink it too fast. After all, we active puppy’s need to stay hydrated so foster mom keeps a close eye on my water intake and makes sure to take me outside every couple of hours. I have had a few accidents in the house, but foster mom always tries to set me up for success so she’s patiently working with me to learn how to do my personal business outside, I am even learning to tell her when I need to go. I am really confident that with a solid schedule I will master potty training. Mom is also teaching me some mealtime manners like how to “sit” and “stay” until the food is in my bowl. Oh my gosh I cannot tell you how incredibly hard that can be sometimes, but I keep trying to wait and foster mom keeps encouraging me! For the most part, learning comes quickly to me and hopefully “sit,” “stay,” and “come” are just the beginning. I walk nicely on the leash and I don’t mind going into that crate thing but if I’m away from my people I get very lonely and will voice my unhappiness until someone lets me out or I tire myself out and fall asleep! I really hope my new family is home most of the time and if they can’t be, I hope there’s a fur companion with whom I can play.

Foster mom says that I am a very good boy…see she’s almost as brilliant as I am!! Anyway, I know she’ll be sad when I go but she knows that I dream of a furever home with a patient person who will love me unconditionally, keep me safe and will NOT give up on me. If you are looking for a companion who will love you more than there are stars in the sky, then you can stop here. I promise I’m worth it!!!

Many of our dogs are obtained from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.          We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.

Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application.

We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward.

ADOPTION EVENTS:

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
