Hello, my name is Kahn and I am a curious, outgoing healthy male German Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix puppy who loves to snuggle and be near my human all the time. I love to give kisses too and I like to think of myself as quite a good kisser!! I enjoy eating treats and playing with my fur-sibs. I am calmer than my siblings, so I don’t act as “crazy” as they do when people or cars pass by the house. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I’m not vocal because I am but usually when I’m wrestling around with my crazy siblings…that’s usually when my squeaky puppy barks come out because they are such a blast to play with. I look more like a cattle dog than my siblings and I have beautiful merle coloring making me an extremely handsome boy if I do say so myself!!
I am potty trained and will do my personal business outside. I have not had any experience with little people and, because I’m still a puppy, I like to jump so I might overwhelm little people with all the affection I have to share if someone’s not watching me. I also have not had experience with those purry things, or leashes and because I love to play in the yard, a fenced yard would be great but not necessary if someone is willing to work with me on the leash. I have only met the doggies with whom I live, they are my litter mates and we get along great although you may not be able to tell with how hard we play together.
I am crate trained, but of course I prefer to sleep in the bed with my human…think about it, if you had a choice to sleep in a cave or a nice cushy bed, which would you choose!!! I’m just sayin’! Anyway, I’m a very smart boy who knows what “come” and “outside” means and I am really eager and excited to learn a lot more when I get to my new home. I am not a destructive or nippy puppy, but I do like to chew on my stuffed toys…and…well, my fur-sibs if they’re around!
I know that my foster mom is going to miss me terribly when I go to my new home but she knows that my dream has always been to find my furever home with a patient, puppy-savvy person who will love me unconditionally, keep me safe and teach me all sorts of new things. If you fit that description and are looking for a snuggly companion who will love you unconditionally in return, then you have found your match. Please come take me to my new home…I promise I will completely enrich your life!!
Many of our dogs are obtained from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.
This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void. We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.
Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee. Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application.
We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward.

ADOPTION EVENTS:
Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.
ADOPTION PROCEDURE:
The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.
FOSTER CARE:
All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications and fill out a foster application.
NUTRITION:
Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
