Hello, my name is Kimchi. I am a gorgeous healthy young adult female Domestic Shorthair cat who is super affectionate and just wants to be by your side whenever you’re home. I am very vocal and enjoy having conversations with my human(s) by meowing, purring, and chirping. I love to chase toys on a stick…I think you humans call them “wands” …whatever they are, I love to chase them. I also love to play with toys I can kick! I’m not sure about those little people, other cats, or barking things since I’ve not had any experience with them. I am litter box trained, but as for those crate/kennel things…not for this kitty…I am more of a free roamer, if you will. I’m more of the mindset that “dogs have owners, cats have staff!” This means that I belong with the family…you know, cuddling on the couch…and not in a crate.

I have heard of these things called harnesses and leashes, but I must say that being an indoor kitty is fine with me…it’s much safer indoors! My foster mom says that I am “just a perfect little kitty, loving, playful and chatty” and this is all true…I have no problem admitting that I’m a bit of a chatty-Kathy. I am super fun to play with, but I can also entertain myself with my own toys. I am good about having my nails trimmed…I mean seriously, who doesn’t like a manicure…am I right? However, I do love to scratch things so a scratching post would be awesome.

Now, the only thing missing from my life is the furever home I have always dreamed about. I am a super sweet girl who is simply looking for love!! If you are a person who is committed to loving me unconditionally and keeping me safe, and you are looking for a chatty companion who will love you unconditionally in return, then you have found your girl. I will be here waiting for you to come and bring me to my new furever home! I really hope you hurry!!

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
