Well hello there hooman!  My name is Lathin.  I’m a baby Bishon Frise .  I weigh a mere 10 lbs, but it is a full 10lbs of sweetness!  Yuppers, that’s right folks.  I’m a very sweet little boy.  I love being around others and usually follow my hoomans around the house.  I also love to cuddle.  Do you like to cuddle?  I sure hope so ‘cuz it is puptacular!!!!  I also really like to play fetch.  I run and run in the yard ‘cuz my foster mom has a fenced in yard, so I get to do all my zoomies all over.  Although, I also know how to do nice walkies with my leash too.  So, if you have a fenced in yard, that’s cool but if not no worries ‘cuz of my master leash walking skills.  Ha ha ha, just kidding.  I’m not quite a master yet.  I’m only a puppy still after all.  But, I do really well so I’ll only get better and better. 

I am working on the learning about the potties too.  If my hoomans can keep me on a good schedule, I am better.  In fact, my foster mom says I’m “really close”.  So, that is good too huh?  And, I even know what “go potty” means.  Isn’t that cool? 

Aside from my love of hooman snuggles, I also like other puppers.  I like them all—big, small, it doesn’t matter to me.  Nope!  I like them all.  I like to play and I never do any of that scary mean growling.  I just like to find my doggie frens to play with.  In fact, I like being around my frens so much that I tend to do barkage when I’m in the crate.  You see, I just don’t like it.  I’d much rather be with my frens!!!!  And, if you have 2 legs or four, I will like you I just know it!  Young, old, hooman, doggie, heck, even those kitties make good frens!  In fact I like having frens so much that I will definitely need another doggie in my furever home.  Do you have a doggie for me to have a fren? 

Well, you can obviously see from my photo that I am an extremely handsome fellow.  But, I should warn you that I’m even more cute in real life, so if you’d like to see for yourself please call the hoomans.  I’d love to meet you to see if we are meant to be furever frens!  I pawmise I’ll love you furever and ever and give you an endless supply of snuggles!  Can’t wait to meet you!

Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.       We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.

Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application.

We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward.

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
