ATLAS PET SUPPLY — Sat, November 16 from 1pm – 3pm — 12761 Central Ave NE, Blaine, MN

Hello, my name is GiGi and I am an adult female Maltese who is really excited that you’re reading about me! I am a petite little girl that loves to explore, give kisses, and cuddle next to my human in bed at night. My foster dad has a truck that he uses to run errands and boy do I love riding in the truck with him.
My foster dad and I are working on this thing called “leash training.” Currently, I’m dragging a leash around to get used to it. Every now and then when my foster dad picks the leash up, I stop and I don’t go anywhere...it’s like my feet just won’t work, but my foster dad…he’s super cool…he says it’s okay for me to walk him as long as he is holding onto the leash, it’s also helpful if I have a special harness on the leash. I am a fierce defender of the home, but my foster dad says I’m all bark and no bite...which is true!
I’m very social, so when I hear other dogs barking I tend to say hello back. I’m not afraid of other little dogs around my size, but I haven’t been near any larger dogs...you know the kind that I could ride on their back and they wouldn’t even know I was up there? My foster dad says I give the best kisses! Sometimes in the morning he tells me that he doesn’t have to wash his face after I’m done kissing him, but I still see him washing his face…I don’t know why anybody would want to wash off my kisses!! He must really like to have a clean face!!
I love treats! My foster dad gives me treats, so that I can learn how to do things better. I haven’t really taken to toys yet. I would really like and need to have another dog in my new furever home to play with me and continue to teach me how to be a dog. I do so much better when I’m around other dogs because then I’m not so lonely and anxious. My foster dad is also working with me on the potty training thing…maybe another dog would be helpful in that capacity as well, but I’m really confident that once I am on a good schedule I will be a potty master.
I am crate trained and good with children. As for those meowy things, I’ve not had much exposure to them, but I’m a pretty laid back kinda gal, so I’m sure I’d do fine. I would really love it if you would come meet me and take me to my furever home. I have loads of unconditional love to share with you and all I ask is for the same in return plus some patience to allow me to get to know you in my own way.
Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.
