Hello, my name is Fallon and I’m a young adult female Pomeranian who loves to cuddle. I am very happy and sweet if I do say so myself.  My foster mom calls me a total love bug.  She knows I’m not a bug, but apparently it’s an endearing term humans use to identify something adorable and that of course is me, so I’m good with the nickname.

I like hangin’ out with my foster mom’s other kids…they only have two legs but they’re still fun especially when they rub my belly every time I roll over.  Between you and me, I’m pretty sure I have them wrapped around my dewclaw…just sayin’!

I like my quiet times, so I typically only bark when I need to go outside to do my personal business. Did I mention that I am fully house trained?  Well, I am. Just wanted to throw that in there... I really love to be closely cuddled.  I haven’t had a lot of experience with larger doggies or those meowing things, so I think I’m pretty much a-scared of them, however, I am an adult and will gage my reaction on a case-by-case basis.  If I feel the need to escape I know I can just go to my crate … that’s my safe place.  Sometimes my foster mom tells me to go in there and I always happily oblige.  If my foster mom thinks it’s a good idea, I think I would be willing to at least meet one those meowy things and see how it goes.

There is one thing I’m not so crazy about and that’s this rope thing that my foster mom…well everyone really…puts on me when we go outside.  I hear her call it a leash and she puts it on me to keep me safe because she knows that if something new comes along that’s a little scary to me, I will run away.  But when she puts it on me I freeze…my body just cannot move, I don’t know what it is, but I know my brain is telling my legs to move but they just won’t move.  Thankfully my foster yard has a fence, so I don’t need to go anywhere with that rope thing very often.

It would be awesome if my furever home has a fenced yard and a doggie my size too because then we can go in the yard when we want and play around for awhile then go in and cuddle to our hearts’ content.

In addition to playing outside, I also like traveling. My foster mom puts me in this metal…(actually now-a-days…it may be plastic) thing with wheels and we roll down the road sometimes with the windows open.  I’m a great companion when it comes to going to the parks, running errands (as long as you don’t leave me in the car), and going to those café’s that allow us four-legged family members. NOTE: too bad there are not more of those four-legged family friendly places~ someone should look into that.

Anyway, I’ve rambled on and on about me, but now I’d like to get to know you! Come see me and we’ll see where the stars and moon take us.

Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

ADOPTION EVENTS:

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
