Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!

Hello, my name is Tori and I am a confidently beautiful and healthy adult female Shih Tzu who likes to be with my people, go for walks, ride in the car or bicycle trailer, and chew on soft crinkly toys, pigs ears and bully sticks! I have 7 toes on my hind legs and am proudly toothless with a tongue that hangs out a little and I could not possibly be any more beautiful than I am now!
I am good with little people but not so good in the potty department. I am working very hard at the potty thing and I know that if I could get on a good schedule I’d get the potty thing down. I also don’t care for the crate much and will bark if I’m in it especially when my people are home; I guess I just feel that if my peeps can’t be in there then why should I? I will begrudgingly sleep in my kennel, though since I am a member of the family, I wholeheartedly believe that I should be sleeping in the bed with you…I’m just sayin’! I suppose I should admit that I also bark if my people are out of my sight. I love being with my peeps and when I can’t see them, I think they’re trying to play hide and seek with me…but quite frankly…I’m never in the mood for that game!
I know the “come,” “sit,” and “go potty commands and I do very well with the leash because my foster mom takes me on these super exciting walks every day where I get to smell everything and get the news of the day…I have to see if any of my doggie friends have been out on their walks…a little T.M.I…I will also often poop on our walks…just thought you should know! As for those meowy things, I am always respectful of them since getting whacked in the face is not one of my favorite activities.
My foster mom says that I’m a resilient, toothless, trusting wonder. I am eager to please and am an easy-going lady. I love to cuddle which my foster mom says is very “comforting.” I do not feel confident with stairs yet, but my foster mom says I “prance and walk with a spring in my step”… I’m not really sure what that means, but I’m pretty sure that my foster mom knows I don’t have a spring inside my feet so I think she’s just being silly…gotta love ‘er!
If you are looking for a happy, playful girl who love snuggles, back & belly rubs, and is easy to bathe, you have found your match. When you come to meet me you could bring me some softened kibble and I wouldn’t mind! Anyway, hurry and get here, I am waiting patiently.
Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.
