Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!

Hello, my name is Ada and I am an adorable healthy adult Miniature Schnauzer who absolutely loves to snuggle and get attention…though I am above begging for attention. That said, I am not above begging for food. I enjoy being brushed, groomed, and having my nails trimmed.
I would have to say that my favorite things are snuggling and food…what a perfect world it would be if we could just snuggle and eat all day! My foster mom says I’m doing better each day and I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t mind being in the kennel during the day…I don’t even have accidents in there during the day, but sometimes I might have an accident if my peeps are home and I’m in the kennel…it’s just my way of saying to them…”look, if you are home there is no reason for me to be in this cave, I should be out with you enjoying life!” I don’t know if they get it though. Other than that I’m doing well with potty training and if I get on a good schedule and have the support of a patient human working with me, I am fully confident that I will master it.
I do well with other dogs…as a matter of fact, I have some doggie foster sibs that I really like having around and it would be great if my furever home had another doggie for me to play with, learn from, and who will help me feel safe. I also do well with kiddies but have no experience with kitties, so I don’t know how I’d do with them, but I’m always up for a challenge. If my foster mom says it’s safe and okay, I guess I’d be willing to meet one. I suppose someone should equip me with a facemask though in case it wants to whack me in the face…just a thought!
After some dental work I am now toothless, but I still play with toys and even chew on antlers...it kind of feels good on the gums…much like it was when I was teething. I enjoy borrowing toddler socks & toys to gnaw on, but since I don’t have teeth I cannot harm them. I have learned to do pretty well with that leash thing…I know it’s for my safety, so I have just given in to it really. My foster mom and I go for walks every day, which not only has helped me get more comfortable with the leash, but it also helps me learn to do my personal business outside.
My foster mom says I’m “lazy but spunky” she just doesn’t understand that my alleged “laziness” is just my way of letting her know how comfortable I am with her…after all, you really have to be comfortable with someone in order to just lay around and do nothing…am I right?
I am patiently waiting to go to my furever home so PLEASE hurry and come get me; I have so much unconditional love to share with you! I promise you won’t regret it.
Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.
