Well hello there.  I’m Cameron.  Who are you?  I’m a Yorkie.  That means I’m a dog.  What are you?  Are you hooman?  I like hoomans.  I currently weigh 8 pounds and I'm 4 years old.  How much do you weigh?  Well, you can tell me later I guess. 

I’m a very sweet little fellow who loves me some hooman attention.  I’m pretty quite most of the time and I get along well with my foster brothers and sisters.  It can be hard when there’s so much going on, but I’m a pretty laid back little dude who likes to just go with the flow.  I love me some nappies and can easily be found napping on the couch for hours at a time.  I’m also learning how to play with these things called toys.  Oh, and of course the other doggies are teaching me how to play too.  That’s kind of fun.  And while my foster brothers and sisters do some barkage, I don’t tend to follow suit.  I tend to like the quite reserved sort of approach to things.  

I’m not yet fully potty trained, but I’m trying really hard and if you can help me stay on a good schedule, I do really well.  I am crate trained though, isn’t that cool?  I’m learning about the rope thing that you use to bring me on walkies.  I’m doing okay on it but it’s very cold in the winter here so we don’t go every day.  I know in time though I’ll become a walkie expert, so it won’t be necessary for me to have a fenced in yard.  

I’m also good with children, but I haven’t been around those furry things you call cats.  I love me the doggies though!  Big or small it doesn’t matter, doggies are the pawesomest.  So if you happen to have one already that’s great, but don’t worry.  I’m okay if I can have you all to myself too.  If I have you all to myself that means I don’t have to share the belly rubs! 

So anyway, that’s a bit about me.  I’d love to learn more about you!  Just be prepared to fall in love because I am fantastic if I do say so myself!  I cannot wait to meet you and find my bestest furever home!  

Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
