Well hello there.  My name is Rascal and I am an 11lb Boston Terrier puppy.  I am the perfect balance of spunky and cuddly.  I am very inquisitive as I learn about the world around me.  I especially like exploring things.  Sometimes when we are outside, I’ll be brave to explore, but mostly I tend to stick pretty close to my foster siblings or my humans.

When we’re in the house, I love to play chase with my foster siblings.  Lately I’ve even learned how to hide under the bed.  It’s a great hiding spot and helps me to win when we are playing hide and seek.  I also like toys that are crinkly and those that flop.

Oh, and have I mentioned treats?  I mean what kind of young man doesn’t like treats, am I right?  The small soft ones are my favorite.

While I’m not fully potty trained yet, I am doing really well especially when I’m on a schedule. I do really well in the crate too.  Sometimes I do have to potty at night, but don’t forget, I’m still a little puppy!

I’m working on the leash thing too.  I’m starting to do walkies and that is helping me to learn.  Since I’m learning about the walkies, I won’t need to have a fenced in yard.  My foster mom says I’m learning like a champ!  In fact, I am such a good learner, I am also practicing some commands like “go potty”.  Learning things is fun.

I have some kitties friends and we get along well.  I am a friendly little fellow after all.  I haven’t yet met any little hoomans though.  I do, however, really like doggies.  And, since I’m a puppy yet, having a doggie friend in my furever home will help me learn the ropes about being a good boy but also will help me to have someone to play with.

I’m a pretty fun little guy to have around if I do say so myself.  Sometimes I may bark a little if I’m surprised, but that’s about it.  Mostly, I’m just awesome.  My foster mom says I’m a delightful puppy with a really good spirit.  So, if you’re looking for a fun little dude to join your family, I might just be for you!

This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.

Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application.

We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward.

ADOPTION EVENTS:

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
