Hello hoomans. My name is Lady. I’m an adult French Bulldog and I weigh 25 pounds. I know, I know…I’m a bit chubby and could use a bit of trimming down so that I can stay nice and healthy for you for a very long time. I’m well on my way! I really enjoy running around in the yard. There are so many fun smells and things to look at and chase! Plus, all the running helps me with my extra chubbiness! My foster mom says that if I keep up the good work, I’ll be where I need to be in no time at all. I’m excited about that and know I can do it!!
I’m a very happy girl who loves to hang with my people both old and young. I’m great with kids, and I don’t mind other dogs, but I much prefer my hoomans. In fact, my most favorite thing ever is to just be near my family, which is why I’m so excited about finding a furever family!
I’m confident and friendly. I also love water and enjoy spending time in my wading pool. It’s so much fun to just hang out in there on theses hot summer days that we’ve been having. Toys and rope bones are also really fun. I love shaking them and tossing them.
I’m not quite potty trained, but I’m on a schedule and am doing really well. When I go in my crate, I tend to bark right away but after a little while I do settle down and can lay quietly. As I mentioned, I love running around in the yard, so it is important that I have a fenced in yard. Although I’m learning to walk on a leash (I still need more practice), the running in the fenced yard is important for fun and my health.
I haven’t yet met any kitties, so I’m not sure how they would be but I’m willing to try. Since I love my hoomans so much it’s okay if I’m the only doggie in your house. Although I’m good with other dogs, I tend to ignore them—hoomans are way more fun in my eyes!
I’m just a very sweet and happy happy girl! I rarely bark too—that’s important for hoomans I think. I just love people and love to be touched and snuggled with. I’m just so very excited about finding my furever family so I can show them how much I will love them!
Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.
