Hiya!  I’m Ollie!  I’m a baby (5 months old) Wire Fox Terrier.  I weigh 14 pounds and I am magnificent!  I am a very affectionate fellow who loves to run and play with my foster siblings.  I love to snuggle and give kisses!  In fact, I just love everyone.  And I don’t even get upset when my foster siblings snarl at me.  I think perhaps as a puppy I might annoy them sometimes, but I can’t help it.  I’m just a loveydovey dude!  I am very trusting and kinda dopey,  but I’m not ashamed.  Being dopey is kinda cool!  If I upset one of the siblings, it’s okay because I just move on to another.  No worrying here!   My siblings are smaller so I’ve never met larger doggies, but I may be fine as remember, I tend to love everyone.

As a puppy, I am very playful.  I love to do mischief.  Why you ask?  Well why not?  Exploring things is fun and I like to explore!  Oh and chewing…I like chewing so you might want to make sure I have good things to chew.  I also really like one of my foster siblings.  My top three things in the whole world are to wrestle with my foster brother, to wrestle with my foster brother and to wrestle with my foster brother.  Ha!  You could say I really like it!  Aside from my foster brother, I also love to run in the yard and investigate things.  When I find things I of course do my barkage.  Remember as a puppy there is so very much to investigate!  And puppies tend to do barkage!  I do it in the kennel and if I see strangers, but that is just a warning for your own safety so that’s probably not a big deal, right?  Oh I also like to carry around my favorite toy.

Although I have not yet met any children, I do tend to love just about everyone I meet.  I’m also not yet potty trained, but I promise you I am trying my hardest.  If I’m inside I wear a belly band and that has helped me learn.  I do go outside on a schedule so if you’re able to keep me on a good schedule that will help me learn to!  And while you could put me in the kennel, I tend to do quite a bit of barkage in there.  I will quiet down after a bit.  But being outside is so much more fun!  In fact, please have a fenced in yard if you are thinking of adopting me into your family.  I just love the freedom of all the zoomies I can do and investigating I can do.  I am learning about leash walking and will probably be fine but those zoomies in the yard are so very fun.

I haven’t met any kitties but I’m open to learning new things.  And overall my foster mama says that I am a “super cute”, “snuggly” and such a happy boy!  With all of those fun facts, aren’t I a perfect fit for you?

This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.       We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.

Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.    Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application.

We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward.

ADOPTION EVENTS:

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
