Hi!  I’m Gannon.  I am a 15-pound Mini Aussie puppy!!!!  I am a very loving pup!  I am smart and payfull and I love my hoomans.  I will follow my people all around.  Well, unless there is another dog to play with.  If there is, then I’m doing that!  I am a bit shy when meeting new people but warm up quickly.  My personality really shines at the dog park where I get to meet lots of new dog and hooman friends!!!  I just love going to the dog park!  It is amazing!  I also like to chew on bones and chase tennis balls.  I’m not very food motivated, but I do eat twice a day and sometimes I will take treats, but not often.

I am potty trained!  I also do very well on a leash for walkies, so although a fenced in yard would be fun, it isn’t necessary.  I also know “sit” and “go potty”!  Isn’t that cool?  I’m learning so very much!  I mostly get to roam free in my foster home and I do well, but my foster mom said I’d also probably do okay in a crate.  She says I am very praise motivated and I learn quickly!

I have only met one kittie.  I think it went well, although I mostly ignored her!  I haven’t really spent time with children, so I’m not sure how that would go.  I am, however, good with dogs of all shapes and sizes!  So, it might be super awesome if you have another doggie in your home so I can have a brother or sister!  Don’t forget—I love to play with doggies!

I tend to bark if I’m alarmed but otherwise am fairly quiet.  I am a very affectionate fellow who just loves loves loves following my people around.  Playing with toys and the dog park are also top on list of favorites.  (Yeah, I know I already said that but it is so important, I thought it was a good idea to say it again!).  I also like to play a fun hide and seek game where I take things that have been left out such as  shoes or clothing and then I try to hide them around the house!  It’s so fun!

As you can see, I’m quite the catch!  If you think I might be for you it’d be fun to meet you.

This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.

Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application.

We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward.

ADOPTION EVENTS:

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
