​ HI!!!!  How are you today?  I’m great!  I am so very excited you stopped by to learn more about me! I suppose I should introduce myself first, huh?  Well my name is Pancho.  Isn’t that a fun name?  I don’t know how I got it, but I like it.  Yup it’s so fun and friendly just like me!  I’m still a puppy, which is fun because I am learning new things every single day!  Yup did you know there is a lot of stuff for us puppies to learn?  Well there is!  Oh I’m a Jack Russel Terrier and I weigh about 10-15 pounds. 

I am very friendly.  In fact, I just love to be around tall people and dogs.  I haven’t been around those little younger people or those other four-legged creatures (I think you call them cats) so I’m not sure about them.  There is so much to get involved in when you are around people and dogs.  And food—boy do I like food!  Anything I can get near I will gobble so you might want to be careful of what kinds of things you leave out.  I just cannot help it though.  Did I mention I’m a puppy and learning things?  Well I am and chomping on things- that is part of my puppy-ness, but don’t let that stop you from reading on!  Remember - I’m super cute!!!!

I am happy to report that I am potty trained and crate trained! Remember I like being around my people so that’s more fun for me than sitting in the kennel.  My most favorite is hanging out with my humans. 

I also really like all the good and interesting smells that I get when I go outside.  It is so fun to run and play and investigate.  So, if you don’t mind, I’d love a fenced in yard.  I just have too much fun in them that not having one might make me sad.  I hear that some dogs use leashes, but I don’t know that that is.  Instead I get to run free—free like the wind! 

What you should most remember about me, aside from my super cuteness of course, is that I love attention.  I am very playful and full of energy.  Oh and did I mention how sweet I am?  I am!  I just know that I will be a fun family member!  And remember, I like to learn and I am confident the right match and a little patience will make us both happy we found each other!

Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
