I am sweet Ophelia and I love to please my humans! I am about 8 months old and looking for love and lots of fun. I respond well to positive reinforcement and will do anything for a treat! I have plenty of energy and would do very well in activities, such as obedience and agility.

I love my Kongs and squeaky toys! I also love playing fetch. I'm such a smart girl and I love to learn new tricks to get treats. I've already started some agility training; I can go through the ring, through the tunnel and over a jump! I also know lots of other commands: sit, down, stay, come, leave it, kennel, wait, shake, in, out, through and over! See, I told you I was smart! 

I've come far on my leash walking abilities, too. Before, I'd need encouragement to go and now I get so excited you'll need to help slow me down. I love to go for a nice trot!  I'm crate trained during the day, but I get to stay out at night. I'm also potty trained! 

I have come so far and am turning more confident and brave everyday! I have done great with the summer fireworks, and the storms haven't seemed to bother me either. 

I used to follow other dogs around all the time, but now I am so comfortable and confident that I can take walks alone and explore the yard on my own. I would love to have a doggy sibling in my forever home, so I have a furry sibling to snuggle. Who doesn't like a good cuddle? I could be fine without a fur sibling if you can commit to working with me and can provide lots of physical and mental activities. I have lots of energy and love to learn! I am a Weimy pup afterall!

I continue to work on my confidence outside of the home -- I'm calm when I meet new dogs and I prefer for new people to approach me slowly and at my level. It's taking me a while to get used to this good life, but I'm really starting to get it and enjoy it! 

I really am an amazing girl! I am great with all dogs, good with people and even good with kids. I have a 9 year old human sibling in my foster home and I love her! I'm so smart, and love to please my people by showing off all the different things I can learn. 

I'm looking for a home that will keep challenging me and give me lots of love. Could it be with you? 

 

This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.

Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application.

We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward.

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
