I am Miss Gigi and I am about 10 years old and 8 pounds. Life in a home is a whole new world for me! And I must say, I love everything about it!
I am one friendly and loving girl. Every new person I meet is a gift and I want to show everyone how much love I have by giving kisses and letting people hold me. Snuggling is one of my favorite activities and I like to curl up in a little ball right next to you. For having such a tiny body, I sure can create a lot of heat. So you can have your own little heating pad!
FOOD IS AWESOME! For such a tiny little girl, I sure can eat. When you eat your food, I like to walk around and search for a morsel that has dropped to the floor. Sometimes I am lucky!
I am incredibly good with other dogs and like to snuggle next to them. If they don't like that, I am content moving away and causing no trouble for anyone. The dogs I live with are teaching me how to go to the bathroom outside and I am doing pretty well. If I am left for long periods, I might have an accident. I am trying!
I don't seem to be scared of anything, I am one brave little gal! I might do just fine with older children if you have some since I am so brave. As long as they are gentle and understand that I am tiny and fragile.
You really would never guess that I was 10! I act more like I am 3 years old. You can find me running, or more so prancing, around the yard after I do my business. It is pretty adorable since my legs are so teeny tiny. Everything about me is super cute. They say I am a sweetheart and ready for my furever home. I hope it is with you!
Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

ADOPTION EVENTS:
Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.
ADOPTION PROCEDURE:
The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website:
Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.
All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.
FOSTER CARE:
All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications and fill out a foster application.
NUTRITION:
Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
