Meet Caleb, he's an adorable 2 year old, 8 pound, toy poodle/cockapoo mix!
Caleb is a sweet and shy little boy and every day he gains more confidence! He must have another dog in the home to help with his confidence. He looks to his canine pals for direction and guidance. He would do best with a female dog around his same size.
Caleb loves to snuggle and jumps up into his foster mom's lab for evening snuggles! This boy is such a sweetheart!
He likes a stuffed toy that is the same size as him! It's adorable. When he plays with other dogs, he likes to bark a little. When it's bedtime, he does not want to go bed, he will try to convince you it is not yet bedtime. Silly boy!
Caleb goes to work with his foster mom and he loves it! He would do best with someone who can spend most of the day with him. He is crate trained and does best for short periods of time and at night.
He does great on a schedule with his bathroom habits and has some occasional accidents, but is getting there!
Caleb is learning that the leash is his friend and needs to wear a secure harness when out and about in case he gets easily startled. Caleb frightens easily, so he should not live with any children under 12 years old. A fenced in yard is also very important for his new home to have.
Caleb is blossoming every day! Inch by inch sometimes, but he is definitely gaining confidence with the patience and love of his foster family.
He is one brave and sweet
little man. You will fall in love when you meet him!
Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.
