I am Jackpot and I am new to Underdog Rescue. I am about 9 years old and full of love for my new family!

The most important thing to know about me is that I am a HUGE sweetheart! Snuggles and love are the best and I would love to get in as many as I can every day. Sleeping in bed with my humans is my preferred sleeping situation, but I do very well on a dog bed. If you prefer I sleep in my bed, can you just provide me with my own blanket so I can tuck myself in?! I love to go to bed around 9 pm and if I think you are up too late, I will come check on you, so you know I am waiting for bedtime together.

Overall, I am awesome with other dogs! Playing with my next door neighbor dog friends is fun. If a dog is aggressive towards me though, I will let them know I don't like it. If you have a calm dog who won't try to get on me, we could be fur siblings! I am completely content being my own doggy dude, too.

I think kids are AMAZING and I love them. I love to gently eat little treats from their tiny fingers and snuggle with them. Can you imagine all of the photo opportunities if you have children or children in your life!? I've never been around cats, so I don't know if I like them or not.

A home and owner who would be active with me would be ideal. I love car rides, walks and LOTS of exercise. Don't be fooled by my age, the more exercise I get, the better I behave! I have been known to find tissues from the garbage if I don't get enough activity or attention. There is just so much good in this life, I want to have it all.

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
