Hi! I'm Kiki, a 5 year old, 11 pound, sweet as can be Yorkie. Since I arrived to rescue, I have come so far. I used to hide in my crate and not come out, and now I love being able to watch all the action! My favorite spots are on the couch or on my dog bed, so I can observe everything and enjoy my new founded good life.

I used to be nervous and skittish, but now I am excited to see my people and enjoy being touched. I happily bark and give kisses when my family comes home and am excited to see my people. I still am a little hesitant about being picked up, but when my family says "up!" I know what it is about to happen, so I stand still and wait to be picked up.

I love food and treats-dinner time is my favorite time, and I wag my tail in excitement while waiting for my meal. I only bark when I'm excited, before meal time and when my family comes home. I really love bully sticks, but I'm not picky, I enjoy any type of treat! I will even come up to you and take the treat out of your hand.

I still get a little nervous when someone new visits my house, however I just get into one of my safe spots - my couch or dog bed and observe from the distance. I do warm up and am good with people and kids! I like to follow my foster siblings around - they've taught me how to be a dog and helped me with my confidence!

I am a pretty perfect girl, I'm crate trained and am completely housebroken. My foster family is trying to work with me on being more comfortable on a leash by teaching me in places that are comfortable and familiar to me, my house and backyard. I've proven to be so smart and have made much progress, that with continued training, I could become a master of the leash someday!

I need a patient family that will help me keep coming out of my shell and encourage me to be the dog I deserve to be! My foster mom says I am the sweetest girl ever. I have lots of love to give and would be a great addition to any family.

ADOPTION EVENTS:

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience. NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
